Zoey is a private app that keeps your household's important records — documents, IDs, vehicles, insurance, retirement accounts, and renewal dates — in one place. Beyond storing them, Zoey grows new skills that help you tackle projects you've been putting off, like comparing homes or preparing for estate planning.

A passkey is a modern, phishing-resistant replacement for a password. Instead of something you type, it's a cryptographic key stored on your device — your phone, laptop, or password manager — that you unlock with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN. To set one up in Zoey: when you create your account, you'll be prompted to add a passkey. Choose your device's built-in option (Face ID, Touch ID, or Windows Hello) or a password manager like iCloud Keychain or 1Password, then confirm with your biometric or PIN. That's it. The next time you sign in, you simply approve with the same fingerprint or face — there's nothing to remember or type. Zoey combines your passkey with your household passphrase to unlock your encrypted vault, so both are needed to see your sensitive information.

Your data is end-to-end encrypted. It's locked in your browser using a key derived from your household passphrase combined with your passkey, and only an unreadable, encrypted copy is ever saved to our servers. Not our team, not our servers, and not anyone else can read it without your passphrase and passkey together.

Your household passphrase is something only you know. Together with your passkey, it unlocks your encrypted vault. If you ever forget it or lose your device, you use the recovery code you're given at signup to regain access — so keep that recovery code somewhere safe.

Yes. Zoey is designed for households. You create one household and invite your spouse or partner with their own secure account, so you can share what matters and stay organized together.

Zoey organizes your household records — My Garage for vehicles, an ID & Membership Vault, retirement accounts, and insurance — and flags renewals before they're due. It also includes skills like House Hunter, which lets you score and fairly compare the homes you're considering, and Estate Prep, which helps you organize everything into a package before meeting an attorney.

Skills are guided processes that help you act on things, not just store records. House Hunter and Estate Prep are in the app today, and we build the next skills around what real households ask for most — whether that's buying a car, planning for retirement, tracking warranties, or something we haven't thought of yet.

Attachments live in your own Google Drive. Zoey stores only the metadata and an encrypted reference — never the file itself.
